I have been writing about housing issues, and advocating for fair and safe housing in Baltimore since December of 2008. My area of concentration has been Baltimore’s most vulnerable communities, most of which have been plagued with issues such as lead paint poisoning, vacancy, and substandard rentals for more than fifty years.
In addition to my advocacy work, I give talks at local schools and universities…and I cook a lot. It’s a great outlet, and with one kid still at home — a teenager — food never goes to waste in our house.
I’ll be adding recipes as I have time — some original, some old family recipes, and some adapted from fantastic cooks and chefs I’ve watched on PBS or online (those recipes will of course be noted as such.)
