About

me

This is me. Photo by Paula Ibey

I live in Baltimore, and I work in DC am a housing advocate.  I have another blog where I write about housing policy and political issues in Baltimore — this blog (hopefully) will remain somewhat light-hearted…or at least not contain endless posts about housing policy.

The words contained herein are mine — my opinion, and do not necessarily reflect that of anyone else.

I hope you will be part of the conversation, the solution, whatever.  Chime in — all opinions are welcome, even those that perhaps do not concur with mine.  Be aware, however, that I do not suffer fools lightly.  Unless, of course, I’m the one being foolish.

I have two children whom I adore, love the city of Pittsburgh (go Steelers!) — and really, most of Pennsylvania…and I have some really amazing friends.  I take pictures, engage in some perhaps not-quite-legal artistic endeavors, and enjoy cooking and eating.  (Not so much the cleaning up.)

I’m a Republican. There, I said it. Not one of those crazy Republicans you see on TV — I’m one of those old-school small government, lower taxes, get the government out of your personal life Republicans. I’m for gay marriage, pro-choice, and I don’t want the government involved in my day-to-day decisions. Unfortunately, people like me don’t make for good TV, as we tend to not say really stupid things in public.

In case you were wondering, I’m 43 44.  And yes, I have the musical tastes and sense of humor of a 12 year old boy.  It’s one of the perks when one reaches their almost-mid 40s.  God help us when I’m 80.  Well…God help you.  I’ll probably be too senile to know what I’m saying.
